MEET RAFAEL

Rafael Araneda has built a career that crosses borders, formats, and generations. He has proven to be one of the most versatile and charismatic hosts in Hispanic television.

In the United States, Rafael became one of the most recognized faces on Unimás, where millions of viewers welcomed him into their homes through Enamorándonos (Love Is In The Air) for six seasons. In addition, he co-hosted Tu Cara Me Suena (Your Face Sounds Familiar) from 2020 to 2022 on Univision, as well as Teletón USA. He rang in the New Year with audiences in New York and welcomed stars on the red carpet at the Latin Grammys in Las Vegas, moments that showcased his energy and ability to command live events. In January 2026, Rafael returns to the air with a new project — one that promises to capture the attention of audiences once again.

In Mexico, Rafael made his mark leading La Academia (The Academy) on TV Azteca for four seasons, guiding aspiring talents in one of the country’s most iconic reality competitions. His presence brought credibility and warmth, qualities that have long defined his work.

In Chile, Rafael’s legacy is undeniable. He helmed some of the nation’s most popular morning talk shows and prime-time entertainment programs, including Estrellas en el Hielo (Stars on Ice) and El Baile (The Dance). He has been the face of the Viña del Mar International Song Festival for nine consecutive years, and next year he will proudly celebrate a decade of hosting one of Latin America’s most prestigious stages — a milestone that cements his place in entertainment history.

Rafael also has a daily radio show on Radio Pudahuel, where his voice reaches audiences nationwide. His longstanding involvement with Teletón de Chile (Chile Telethon) has made him an emblematic figure, rallying viewers year after year in support of a greater cause.

Beyond the spotlight, Rafael is a devoted family man. Married to his wife Marcela for nearly 25 years, he is the proud father of four children, including one adopted son. Together with his family, he co-leads their YouTube series Tenemos Que Hablar (We Need to Talk), now entering its fourth season. Filmed in South Africa, the series reflects the authenticity and closeness at the heart of his life and will begin airing soon; a new chapter his fans will not want to miss.

Would you like me to now create a shorter “main page” version (about 3–4 paragraphs) that uses the same polished tone, so you’ll have both the full feature and a compact vndy to go?
