MEET VANESSA

Vanessa D. Torres Barcena is a Miami born attorney whose career reflects the resilience and community driven spirit of South Florida. A proud Cuban American, she carries forward the values instilled by her family, hard work, integrity, and a deep belief in advocating for others, and brings them into every aspect of her legal practice.

Today, Vanessa serves as General Counsel for Bischoff Aerospace, Inc., guiding the company through complex commercial disputes, regulatory matters, and high level business challenges. She also leads her private practice, the Law Office of Vanessa D. Torres, P.A., where she represents individuals, families, and businesses across a wide spectrum of legal needs. Whether navigating a sensitive family case or structuring intricate international contracts, Vanessa approaches every matter with clarity, empathy, and strategic focus.

Before opening her own firm, Vanessa was a Partner at Djebelli Torres PLLC, earning recognition for her litigation skills and her ability to handle both aviation regulatory compliance and complex business disputes. Her experience spans family and matrimonial law, commercial litigation, aviation law, contract negotiation, and appellate work. This broad background gives her a balanced perspective that clients rely on in moments that matter.

She earned her Juris Doctor from St. Thomas University School of Law and holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in English Literature and Political Science from Florida State University.

Outside of her legal work, Vanessa is a devoted wife and mother to three young children.
